creAtIva Magazine was born at the end of 2023 with the aim of giving a space of visibility in printed format to the participants of the AI WORLD EXHIBITION, held in Avilés, Spain and which has been curated by this business project @vktr_projects
The 13 international creators who participated in this collective exhibition of digital creation with artificial intelligence agreed to join this initiative.
Thus, in December 2023, this editorial project came to life, taking a unique step by creating the first magazine of its kind in Spain.
It featured three images from each participant of the AI WORLD EXHIBITION, presented in a novel format. Three identical questions were asked to all 13 creators, and by not only publishing their images but also showcasing them as individuals, we delved into their creative processes and results. This volume, published exclusively in Spanish, made its debut in the international market, honestly positioning itself among its competitors despite being only a 32-page publication.
From there, a path began, with no clear idea of how it would evolve. The editing of Vol/2, focused on FASHION, started shortly thereafter. Two months later, this second publication was released, featuring 11 international professionals from the industry, with expanded content and collaborations, growing to 54 pages. Two months later came Vol/3, ARCHITECTURE / INTERIOR DESIGN, once again featuring 14 industry professionals and expanding the content to 130 pages, with significant collaborations of great interest.
It was in Vol/4, SURREALISM, that creAtIva surpassed its expectations, reaching 146 pages and featuring 19 international creators of diverse and unique styles, along with 11 ‘creativity’ students.
Up to this point, creAtIva has experienced a very promising evolution, and it is with Vol/5, titled ‘PROMPT Anatomy,’ that a leap in quality was made, thanks to the co-editing partnership with LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial. creAtIva grew in both content and format, transitioning from the classic 6 x 9-inch pocket size to 11.25 x 8.55 inches and reaching 219 pages, forming yet another international collective with 25 digital AI creators.
This marks the future direction of the magazine for upcoming volumes.
