This special edition of creAtIva brings together 85 international profiles who, through their creativity and unique vision, invite us to rediscover the concept of ART from multiple perspectives.Following an international open call that received 88 projects, our jury carefully selected 25 artists, along with 5 more chosen by popular vote, to be part of Volume 9: ART: it is argument. The open call launched the following message:

creAtIva AI ART BOOK invites visual artists and creators from any country to participate in Volume 9, an issue dedicated to exploring the foundations of AI-generated art in the contemporary context. If the history of art has been shaped through movements, ruptures, and manifestos, this is the moment to define what AI contributes as an autonomous artistic language.

This open call accepted all kinds of aesthetics and visual languages generated through generative artificial intelligence tools, provided that the work was developed from a clear artistic intention and demonstrated formal coherence, conceptual solidity, and a recognizable personal voice.

How was the Pocket Version born?

With the publication of Vol/6 in May 2025, and after reviewing the remaining proposals, it became clear that many of them stood out for their remarkable quality, originality, and conceptual depth. These were works that, although not included in the main edition, still deserved to be seen.

Faced with this evidence, the decision was made to give those works the opportunity to continue being shown. The proposal was clear and meaningful: to publish one representative image from each project in a new edition that would be smaller, more accessible, and more direct.

This is how creAtIva Pocket was born: a special 6 x 9 inch edition that brings together all the AI artists from each open call. Each page offers a perspective on this new current within 21st-century digital art.

It is not a reduced version, but a complementary gallery of ideas that expands the narrative through new approaches.
With this publication, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusion, visibility, and the power of collective imagination. At creAtIva, we believe that every contribution enriches the conversation and deserves to be part of the evolving dialogue on generative creativity and the role of AI in contemporary culture.
